myPWS In App Purchases get de-activated on one device

Solution

myPWS In App Purchases are linked to all devices that are registered via an Apple ID using a device ID. This device ID is automatically transmitted to all devices of an Apple ID via an infrastructure provided by Apple. The prerequisite for this is that all of a user's devices in question are correctly registered to the same Apple ID!

If the myPWS In App Purchase, which was acquired via a specific Apple ID,

  • is restored on a device that is not registered with the Apple ID used to make the myPWS In App Purchase

or

  • restored to a device that does not show exactly the same 'Device ID' at the bottom of the myPWS Settings screen as the device used to make the purchase,

then the myPWS In App Purchases will be 'moved' and deactivated on the previous device!

myPWS In App products can only be used on all devices under the same Apple ID. If your devices on which you want to use myPWS In App products do not all display the same device ID in the lower section of the myPWS settings screen, then the devices in question with a different device ID are not correctly linked to the same Apple account as the other devices that display the same device ID.

In such a case, you will need to sign the devices in question, which have a different device ID, out of your Apple account and sign them in again. Only then will all devices be able to use the required Apple Cloud services linked to your Apple account.
